Ilian Iskarov Ivanov has been riding since 1978 in the town of Rousse. His first trainer
is one of the last living cavalry riding instructors, Dimitar Nanev.
Ilian Iskarov participated and won prizes in competitions for children and youth up
to fourteen years. He participated in the Bulgarian national team from 1983 to 1992.
He won prizes in the Volvo World Cup in 1984, 1985, 1989; bronze medal
from the Balkan championship /jumping/ in Athens, Greece /1984/;
in the youth championship in 1985, and in the championship for men
in eventing in 1987.
His best international qualifications: seventh place in Radihasa /Hungary/ CCI**,
a qualification for the European Championship in Luhmuhllen in 1987.
In 1992 he began training at his own expense, participating in competitions
and horse trade. In 1992 he participated with a private team in tournaments
in Marbah CCI* and Murg-Niederhof, Germany. He has sold horses mostly
in Switzerland, Greece, Germany, Turkey, Jordan, UK and USA.
In his free time he gives lessons to newcomers who want to get to know horses
and horse riding – this beautiful sport.
